THE REAL REASON YOUR JANUARY MOTIVATION IS FADING (IT’S NOT YOU)

Week one of January feels great. Motivation’s high. Routines are fresh. You feel “back on it.”
Then Week 2 hits.
Work gets busy. Sleep isn’t perfect. You’re sore, tired, maybe fighting off a cold, and suddenly you start questioning everything: “Am I doing enough?” “Should I push harder?” 😦😡🤯
...that’s where most people go a bit 'pete tong'.
Then, they respond by tightening calories, adding extra workouts, and expecting perfection.
Exactly when energy is lowest. That’s not discipline...that’s a fast track to burnout.
The people making progress right now aren’t doing more.
They’re doing what they can consistently.
Shorter sessions instead of skipped ones.
Simple meals instead of “starting again tomorrow.”
Movement instead of all-or-nothing thinking.
Week 2 isn’t about intensity, it’s about staying in the game.
If you’re still showing up, even at 70%, you’re ahead of most people.
January isn’t won by hero weeks. It’s won by not quitting when it stops feeling exciting.
That’s where real progress starts.
--- ...and, if you've read this far, I've got something for you 🤩
If you’re feeling stuck between doing nothing and doing too much, that’s exactly what coaching helps solve.
I’ve opened a small number of January Reset spots, and I’m adding a free extra 30 days to help people rebuild routine without going extreme.
